I am attempting to make my own centerpieces which will consist of 24in trumpet style vases with a rose ball top. I have found that i need at least a 8-10″ styrofoam ball to balance the rose ball with the height of the vase. Any ideas of where I can buy these cheap??

lpnelson504: Short answer- you can’t. Styrofoam balls that size are relatively costly.
10 inch styrofoam ball $42
Have you tried searching for polystyreneballs?
10 inch polystyrene ball $9.99
10 inches seems like a rather large ball. Are you sure you need them this large?

Thanks for the links! I think with the height of the vase, I’ll need a very full pomander. I will definitely check this out!

This is similar and they use a 6 inch ball- once you add the roses, it would be about 10 inches finished. I’m actually planning on doing VERY similar DIY centerpieces with hydrangea, roses, carnations, and who knows what else. 🙂
