So I just came back from my florist consultation. I love the arrangement itself, but I'm not quite sure about the styling of the curly willow. I like that it gives it height, but do you guys think its too wild? Btw, the centerpieces won't be that naked for the day of. The vases will have crystals at the bottom and submerged orchids.

I actually really like it.  I might not use the one that's pointing out horizontally on the left, but overall it looks good.

I might not do the submerged orchid though... that seems like a LOT going on, and kind of mixed stylistically.

I think that there is enough going on and I think the willows wouldn't be missed.

@SapphireSun:  thank you. I've been tweaking it and hacking off bits of willow here and there since I brought it home. Hopefully, I'll find a happy balance. As for the orchid, its going to be the dendrobium orchid stems, see below. I'm just trying to find a way to fill the naked space of the vase. Any suggestions?

I don't think it's too wild, I really like the way it looks!

@auggiefrog:  hmmm I kind of some branches for height as these will be my taller centerpieces of the two that I will be having. I think I'll do a mock set up tonight to see how I feel about it all.

@Wonderstruck:  thank you. I hate all these wedding details. They are driving me slightly cookoo.

@Olive12:  I jsut think orchids are very structural and modern, while the hydrangeas and willows are more free/rustic/romantic.  Honestly, I'd throw some rocks/glass/crystal in the bottom of the vase, and then just fill it with water.  The fact that you can sit at a table without the centrepiece blocking your view of the other people at the table is the appeal of those tall centrepieces to me.

@SapphireSun:  thank you. I see your point but these centerpieces have to be removed off the table as the dinner is a 8 course family style meal. I was uncomfortable with having the "naked" space in the vase.
