What type of mood are you trying to create…or do you have a theme?

Hmm, maybe garland wrapped up and down the pole with christmas lights, and add votives at the base along with your petals?  Maybe add wildflowers to your pole here and there…but that may clash with the tropical colored rose petals that you already have.

Are you allowed to hang anything from the umbrellas?  I think it would look cool to have flowers or hanging candles.  I also love the idea of bud vases going around the umbrella with wild flowers or simple blooms.

I found this candle that you could combine with hanging flower blooms the a whimsical look you’re after.  You can purchase here http://www.wroughtirondecorstore.com/953033.html.  You can buy hanging bud vases here for .75 to 1.99 each http://www.wholesaleflowersandsupplies.com/hanging_glass_bud_vases.html

Forgive me, but I don’t understand how the petals are going to stay put.  I would think you would use flowers in those colors and somehow make a base with styrofoam and/or wire or something to keep them in place for the evening.  There are split pots available that are put together around the pole of the umbrella to make it look like a centerpiece on the table.  Perhaps you could make something like this if you wouldn’t want to buy them.
