I love the pumpkin one, but I'm biased because that's my inspiration pic!
Here's my mockup using that pic for inspiration (my colors are dark purple and orange). I may end up using the jack b little pumpkins like in the pic for the actual wedding but wee b littles are all I had on hand at the time.

The pinecone one is really cool also, but I would do that more for a November/December wedding than an October wedding.
I like the design of the pinecone one more, but it seems more wintery to me than fall-ish? Could you do the same design as that, only put something more seasonally appropriate in it? :)
As far as the candy apples go.....yummy!
I like them both but the pine cone one is more wintery themed to me. How about fall leaves? Bright orange, red, yellow leaves!
I like the very first one.. it is awesome classy elegant and nt to busy!!
i love pumpkins... i seem to be the outsider with that... but maybe only 1 pumpkin on top of a couple of pincones? just a thought.
dont forget to let us know what you decide
I love BOTH!!! omg!! How amazing!
Can I pick your brain for my centerpiece BLANK SLATE of a mind! lol
I really think the pine cones are great, then maybe use an Amber lighting! =)
The pinecones are pretty, but I agree you should add some fall leaves or something to brighten it up! Maybe use some orange ribbon so they look more fall and less wintery??
I think it'd look fantastic with little white pumpkins.
But, that's at least partly because I'm not a fan of brown or orange.
@SandAndSea: I like the white pumpkin idea.
I voted for Pinecones though. Unless you have a really big FALL theme, which it doesn't sound like you do (just fall colored flowers), I think the pinecones are more rustic elegant.
I love the candle and pinecones! It's fall without looking too crazy. It's absolutely stunning!
I love the pinecones, and I don't think that they are too wintery. They would be if you used silver or white ribbon, but if you use a burnt orange, brown, or other fall color ribbon to coordinate with flowers, it will pull it all together!
So, I am thinking pinecones are too wintery also. We will probably end up using leaves, but I don't want them to dry out and look bad. Any ideas how I can work on my centerpieces ahead of time so they don't look like crap on the wedding day? :)
You can preserve leaves with glycerin. You get the fall colors but they are not fragile and don't dry out.

Or, you can purchase them here:

My friend let me cut a bunch of branches from her willow tree and I lightly sprayed them silver. You could do the same thing with gold. I also used carnations with long stems.
I like the pinecones more, the pumpking seem a little too halloweeny
The white ones @SandAndSea posted are pretty though, and might compliement the champagne color scheme a little more
Why not do both??? We had 2 that we loved, so we ended up just alternating them

Happy Sunday night! A little background first.... our wedding colors are black and light champagne gold. We haven't picked out flowers yet but they will most likely be pretty fall colors, i.e. red, orange, yellow, purple, green, etc
Which centerpiece idea do you like more? We would have the vase under a mirror with votives surrounding the main centerpiece.
Another side note, since the wedding is in October, we are thinking of doing caramel apples for favors.
Any advice/thoughts would be appreciated :) :)
