I’m doing my own centerpieces – tall cylinder vases with blue dendrobium orchids and a floating candle. I’m wondering if you all think the round mirrors for underneath the vase is necessary? I also upgraded my lighting package to have pin spotting (So each centerpiece will basically have its own spotlight)…like this…

That centrepiece is beautiful!!! I don’t think the mirror is necessary. When the table is fully set with all the wine/champagne/water glasses, the light will reflect off them and add the bit of sparkle that a mirror would have added. Aside from the fact that everyone is going to be too busy staring at the tall centrepieces to even notice the mirror! 🙂

I thought about mirrors myself. But ultimately for all the benefits of a mirrored bottom centerpiece, it has become a dated look IN MOST CASES.
Make sure you look at a sample before making your decision, you may realize they are not necessary. votive candles at the bottom may be an option to give some depth to the table.
Love your centerpieces and the spotlight! It will really add to the ambiance!
