Centerpiece pix - does this look like it's worth $75? : wedding centerpiece price centerpiece Sample1

how much are your centerpieces?  for the low arrangement, i was quoted $75 with "vase rental", meaning i have to return the vases.

so i bought my own vase and took it to the flower shop - they gave me a mock up of the arrangement fo the day - what do you guys think of this arrangement? basically i KNOW the flowers aren't worth $75 but does it look alright or "good enough" to be a $75 one?

It's about 11" tall, 14" wide for the arrangement.  I purchased my own 6" opening bubble vase.

any suggestions and changes to this are welcome.  thanks!

For myself, I'd like less baby's breath, more roses. It's definitely a lot of flowers, but I think for $75 you should be getting a bit more bang for your buck. I like the leaf they've wrapped around the stems, do they have a wider one they could use?

It seems a little high to me.  I'd think something like that would be around $50

thanks, good suguggestion!  i will ask for less filler flowers!

i already signed the contract for $75 for the short arrangement so i'm stuck w/ that price, but the lady said for that arrangement she charges $125 so i'm getting a "great deal".  errr..... sure.... which dummy would buy that for $125...

I agree with trying to get less filler flowers, and asking for a wider leaf or using more leaves to create a more "wrapped" look.  :)

You were charged $75 w/ a vase rental, but after you bought your own vases, the price was still $75?

Or maybe i'm just confused :)

I work as the wedding director for a florist, and unless there is a hidden flower I can't see somewhere in the back, you are definitely not getting $75 worth of flowers.

Too much baby's breath. If you go to most florists, you can get a similar bouquet to that for $75 that is mostly tulips (much more expensive than the filler). I think it's a terrible deal, but it is still a pretty arrangement, so at least it has that going for it. :)

Are you using flowers that are out of season?  Is that why it's so much?  I thought gypsophilia (babys breath) was rather inexpensive and there seems to be a lot of it in your arrangements.

One Thing I would like to note. These buds (look like lilies) haven't opened yet. It looks like she put a lot of these in the arrangement. Ask if they will be open buds on your day. This arrangement is going to look so much fuller and look more expensive once the buds open.

I think it looks like something you could do yourself. If I was paying $75 I think I would expect something more extravagant

No, I dont think you should be paying $75 for this...maybe $50 but not $75! It is very pretty though!

I don't think it's worth it. I gave my florist a vase (regular 5 by 5) and told her that I didn't want to spend more than $25 on the arrangements. Can't wait to see what she comes up with :)

i know that florist overcharges becauase she does flowers for the players at Oakland Raiders and Raiderettes's weddings, so her prices have gone up.

i hope all your arrangements will look better than mine!

to clarify the questions above: yes, $75 is for the "rental" of vase that I have to give back to her.  if i brought my own vase, it's still $75 and relieves me the pain of needing to return the vases to her or pay for broken ones.

here's another view - basic floewrs: hydranias, white rose, lily(?), and lots of baby's breathe.

NO! but that's because I helped put together floral bouquets for way way less!

I helped my friend put together centerpieces like this for $25 dollars (she borrowed the candelabra from friends).

wow! I think that the arrangement is pretty, but definitely not worth $75. I think it's more in the $50-60 range :/ And she's charging you 75 if you rent vases or bring in you own? That doesn't make sense to me at all! All the florists I've met with have quoted me less because I'll be providing my own vases.

I think it's pretty. Is the price high because of the lillies? Does it include set up/room turnaround?

I'm not sure if lilies are expensive - i just asked for seasonable flowers and the contract i signed was $75/each

Lesson for new bees who have not signed contract: if your floral arrnagement is under $50, maybe it's not a big deal. but if more than that, you should get clarification of how large the arrangement will be, vase usage issue (rental vs if you can bring your own), and imporatntly - WHAT TYPE OF FLOWERS or SAMPLE of the arrangement.

It looks nice but honestly it think it looks a little thrown together and i think $75 is way to much expecially considering you are providing the vases. I honestly think you could buy some flowers in bulk for a couple hundred dollars and do something very similar and save money. It is mainly filler flowers and a christmas tree decoration! I used those exact same floral picks in my christmas tree last year. I am sorry to say but For $75 each I would expect ALOT more
