Hi newbee! Welcome to the hive. I hear ya on prices. Weddings can be ridiculously expensive. Some inspiration pics for you and a recomendation: try to borrow a paint sprayer rather than spray cans. It takes much more paint then you think and gets expensive the spray can route.

Lighting really does add something doesn't it? Very monochromatic color scheme but very pretty.
I know a cheap way to do this so PM me if you end up wanting this one.
Happy Planning!

Hey Ladies,
So my fiance and i are doing as much of DIY wedding as possible. I originally was going to do a blue hydrangea centerpiece in a wooden box painted with a crackle paint effect using black and tiffany blue (our colors) But, the cost of the flowers for the centerpieces after bouqets are just too much for us.
I originally had wanted to do a white birch branch centerpiece with lights in a tall vase. Something i had seen years ago. I started looking into birch branches and they are so overpriced. So i'm going to take branches out of my aunts yard and spray paint them white. I'm unsure of the type of vases i should use, if i should do the lights or not or if i should put some sort of glass pieces/beads into the vase.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated!
