I don’t know if this would go with your decor, but what about a bed of moss around the base? I love the antique feel of the stand.

I think they are beautiful.  I love the  antique look, I think I would use them as is.  However, I think they could look really good with the pink boas.  The feathers would give them a victorian look.  🙂

I think the mirror base with the votives would look more elegant then the feathery stuff. I would even condider spray painting the metal part of these since they are the same color as the tablecloth. Light pink would look cool and pick up with your votives/frame.

I like the boa idea. It would be pretty cheap too, they often have boas on sale for a dollar at craft stores.

    Hi,

I received my centerpieces and the pictures doesn’t do them justice.  The piece is beautiful all by itself.  However, I am going to use a 10 inch round mirror. Using the mirror allows the acrylic crystals to reflect and instead of votive wax candles, I am going to use fuel-cell 8 hour candles.  They are tea light size and will actually fit in a votive holder. (candles4less.com).

Also I am opting to use the globe shaped votive holders and I will use a total of 4 and place them 2 on each side or in a circle around the piece (still undecided)

2 votives = with the fuel cell candles

2 votives = with a single cut short stem flower.  I am going to use either a gerbera, a rose, or carnation (in your case I would use a fuschia color flowers to add some “pop to your rose

Suggestion to you:  Put the whole centerpiece together; light the candles. What ever type of table is being used at the reception; should be the type of table you practice on.  This way you can get a better idea of what it is going to look like.

I am going to have a mock up of mine soon. I love the feather boa idea…maybe you can have feather boa in fuschia. I think you need something to make the piece “pop”!

    Will be in touch.

@nontraditionalbride: Thanks so much for the update! I unwrapped mine last night actually and did a mock up of the table. I forgot how beautiful they are. I got it all figured out now. I’m going to have 4 lace wrapped votives with pink votives in each, the pink framed table number, and I’m going to scatter pink rose petals around all of that. The tablecloth will be ivory, the napkins will be light pink. I’m so happy I fianlly got this figured out!

Your ideas sound gorgeous. I was also toying with idea of using 2 of the votives to put pink carnations in. I think that will look great! I can’t wait to see your mock up!

What if you bought a really beautiful fabric and lay in underneath. You could make circle rounds of fabric and this sew lace around the edges.

    Hi,

This is just a round 1 mock up…I plan to play with the small flowers so more… My colors are eggplant, ivory and gold….so I was going to maybe going to put a gold ribbon around the candles…and try to incorporate purple and white flowers…

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Constance

    @Ellabellaxo:

Sounds beautiful…if you decide carnations (nice fluffy flower)…I would go hot pink and give your table some pop!

Good luck…I am still toying with how I can incorporate my colors better (eggplant, ivory and gold)…I may consider purple carnations or mums!  I am going to wrap my votives though with something metallic gold…still deciding

I am so glad you have this figured out…putting together centerpieces can be a daunting task!

@nontraditionalbride: I love mock-up #3!! The flowers fit perfectly and the color of the flowers is perfect too.
