I live in Los Angeles, but was raised in Central Illinois and am getting married there this fall because my parents cannot fly, due to health reasons. There is endless information for Chicago and northern Illiinois venues, but Springfield (and the surrounding area) has very little to offer. I'd love as much info as possible, as I lived most of my life there, but never attended a unique wedding. We want a rustic, elegant location - a barn would be amazing. We'd love to have our ceremony and reception in one location. Does anyone know a great barn or rustic space that can be converted near Springfield/Central Illinois? Great caterers...anything will help so much. Thanks!

Here are a few options that I found just poking around the interwebs. They may not be exactly what you were looking for, or they may not have enough space for the number of guests you were planning on having, but its a start!

Hill Prarie Winery, sort of near the Havana Il area

or Pasfield House in Springfield. It looked like you could pull the decor into a more rustic feel.

or you could try some of the other winerys around the Springfield area. They seem to have great outdoorsy spaces that would fit a rustic theme.
