I am having a really hard time finding a centrepiece but I think I may have found something that I kind of love!! I’m thinking of going something like this but instead of white roses, have purple roses and also maybe attach somehow clear christmas lights wrapped around the branches (are there christmas lights that are LED and don’t have to be plugged in??). Also, with the tags hanging off the branches I thought our guests could write little messages to us for our scrapbook later and the ribbon on the bottom will also be purple. What do you girls think? Do you think it is nice or too over the top?

i think it would look nice, you might want to tell people that they can write on the cards though, cause normally people wouldnt just write on a centerpiece unless told to :p and yes i do believe there are led christmas lights, might wanna check ebay for them 🙂 You should do a mock up of it, so you can see it all together

I think if they’re done right they could be stunning!

All the LED lights I’ve seen still have to be plugged in (if they are stringed). But there are definately tiny LEDs that you can use that don’t need to be plugged in. There are some here:

I think that is a really nice decoration for the escort cards (which is what I assume the tags are). If I were a guest, I would not pick through your centerpiece to remove the tags to write you a wish; I would probably not realize that was your intention, and I would be afraid of knocking off the other decorations. Another angle to consider is that this is a very bushy centerpiece. Most tall centerpieces are narrow through their height and then have most of their bulk up rather high so that guests can see across the table to their companions during dinner conversation. This would completely obscure any view. I think the concept is really pretty, but I think it would need a lot of tweaking to be a guest friendly centerpiece.

Thanks so much bees! We actually decided to use it as a wishing tree and put it on either the gift table or the table cards table. Back to square one!!
