- Wedding: June 2014
Alright ladies, I finally picked up the missing elements for my table decor last night and did a mock-up, and I would like some opinions! A couple of disclaimers: the labels on the wine bottles will be off, and our table numbers will be written on them in paint pen. The bottoms of the bottles also need some finer sanding to make them sit flatter on the platforms. The flowers will be real and will have looped lily grass over the top of the arrangement, and will obviously not be in a pilsner glass 🙂 it was the closest thing I had available in the proportions I wanted. The table in the picture is 4ft long but the tables at the wedding will be 8ft, so there will be 2ft of empty space on either side of the whole arrangement. I am okay with this. Also the tables will have white tablecloths with sage green runners. All that said, here it is!
In the evening light (my favourite, since we’re having an outdoor garden wedding. I think it’ll look great at dusk under the tents):
The low candles are floating candles in short votive holders. Those and the tea lights in the birchwood holders will burn for 4 hours, but the pillar candles under the wine bottles will burn for 15, so while I would really love for them all to stay lit all night, it’s not a big deal since at least some of them will still be lit. The smaller candles will at least burn all the way through dinner. I’m going for simple elegance and really trying to use the landscape for the “wow” factor. There are lots of trees that will be lit up, a pool, a pond, 2 waterfalls…you get the idea. What do you guys think??
