We’re getting married at a gorgeous country club. We will end up being married in front of a big stone fireplace. I need some help with how to pretty it up. Any ideas? We are doing a formal wedding with limited decor, black and white with hints of metallic such as gold chiavari chairs. I considered putting big varied height candles in the fireplace but I don’t know. Any good ideas? I would like to stay away from tulle/fairy lights if possible… Sorry the picture is not great.

theshannondee: The candles would look pretty before the bride, groom and officiant are in the altar area, but after that they wouldn’t be seen.
Given that your fireplace is centred in a huge semi circular window at a country club, I would stick with something simple and ekegant like a monogram.
somthing like this only in black

julies1949: wow that’s a gorgeous idea. I normally am “meh” about monograms but that could be gorgeous! Thank you so much! Too bad we’re STD! Ah well gives the guests something to snicker about right? 😉

theshannondee: if your married name starts with D, they will look at it as SDT. The eye sees left to right.
