Hi Bees – I have always planned to do simple if no decorations for the church. But now I am thinking I might regret not making the church look like there is a wedding going on. I only wanted to spend $1500-$2000 on flowers for the entire day. I want to know if there is a way to add a little flower to the church without spending hundreds. Can I ask you if you added flowers to your church ceremony and what you paid (and got)?
p.s. I would love to add a Poll, but literally dont have a clue to what ranges to include.

You could always do silk flowers to help cut the costs.. Or look for someone that is selling their decorations.. I’m not having a church ceremony so I’m no real help on that..

talk to your florist and tell her you want your ceremony flowers to do double-duty. you’ll probably have to pay a small fee for her to transport them from ceremony to reception site, but it saves you money because you’re reusing the arrangements instead of buying new ones.

My ceremony is going to be outside (weather premitting!), so I’m in a bit of a different situation. However, I also have a flower budget of $2000. I am not planning on doing much, but plan for two large floral arrangements up by where my Fiance and I will be standing. I am also folding 1000 paper cranes that will be displayed outside, but I don’t think that’s what you’re looking for. I don’t have an exactly break-down of what the arrangements will cost, but I am also getting flowers for somewhere around 13 tables, too.

I’m doing a few silk arrangements, mostly topiary balls. I figure most silk flowers look just as real and nobody is going to be up at the alter investigating the flowers to really see them.
