hey everyone, i am working on the wording for my invitation pocketfold inserts. My fi and i are having a catholic mass for our ceremony and I was wondering if you all think this is appropriate to add onto the insert so people know not to show their t&a. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
“Alisha and Michael will be united in the Sacrament of Marriage during a Catholic Mass. Please dress conservatively to honor the presence of God during this time.”

Hmmm….you’d like to think people would dress appropriately regardless, but it might be a good idea to include that because you just never know with some people.

I think that is completely appropriate 🙂

I don’t really like it … but it’s ok. I would just put the attire you request on the reception card.
Mine says something along the lines of:
Reception at __________
You could put whichever dress you like though … like dressy casual?

I wouldn’t say “to honor the presence of God.” Some people get funny about stuff like that. Maybe “dess conservatively out of respect of the sanctity of the church.” This way you are just asking your guests to respect the location rather than to honor God.

I agree with jocyelyn, “dress conservatively out of respect for the sanctity of the church” is very nice, and anyone with a different belief will understand respecting the church.
