    Stick with the dj. Not everyone likes the same kind of music and most of the time a band only can sing one style of music. at least with a dj u can change it up.. its not tacky.

    Save yourself the money and just use the DJ.  The ceremony at most is what….. 30 minutes?  Nobody will think it’s tacky.  My friend had a string trio play for 2 hours – 30 minutes before the ceremony, the 30 minutes of the ceremony, and for the cocktail hour and it cost them an extra $800.  Was it worth it?  For me, as a guest, no.
