Yay that's exciting!! My mind is a blank right now, LOL, so I don't have any creative suggestions for you, but my girls are going to walk in to Edwin McCain's "I'll Be". Ah, just love it...gives me chills, that song.
I would certainly ask the musician what he recommends.. he may know of something you've never heard of that is in his repertoire.
We're having a guitar too... I have NO CLUE what I want him to play yet though....
We had keyboard music and for the bridesmaids, we had "Storybook Love" (from the Princess Bride) for their processional.
@honeybun - I googled I'll be and cried instantly - that is definitely a contender! Do you have a link to it being played on guitar with no singing?
@krissy - I couldn't find the instrumental (preferably accoustic guitar) version of storybook love - do you have a link to it
@FMM: awwwww!!!! Yep, there's just something about that song! I don't know of any links to just instrumental, but I will def. keep my eyes open!
We walked to weird stuff... He walked to Vivaldi and the wedding party followed to the same music (vivaldi on guitar though... it was very pretty) and I walked to "So Here We Are" by Bloc Party... which is pretty non-traditional!
I love the Israel K version of Over the Rainbow!
Here's an instrumental version, but it's got more than just the guitar......might give you a better idea though?

Ooooh Mrs. DG - I love So here we are!
Sooooo pretty!
Thanks Honeybun - I did see that one - it is so beautiful but I still would like to hear acoustic guitar only!
Thanks FMM... I can't believe that you are getting to the point of nailing down detais! Time flies, huh?
@DG - I know it's crazy eh? I am doing everything early but that is because A) I am type A and I like it and B) I will be writing my comprehensive exams for my PhD next term and will have VERY little time to devote to planning and the hive unfortunately :-(

Mr. M just asked one of his childhood friends who is a talented musician if he would play acoustic guitar for our ceremony... and he said he would be honoured!!!!
YAY - I know that I want to walk down the aisle to Somewhere over the rainbow
But know I need to figure out what my girls will walk down the aisle to and what the processional song would be. He wants to know soon so that he has lots of time to perfect the songs (he plays a lot of rock normally)
Does anyone have any suggestions - I am looking for less traditional songs that will match the feel of somewhere over the rainbow but will take any suggestions?
