Hello Bees!
For our wedding we have a close friend playing acoustic guitar for our wedding. We are in the process of picking our music. Here is where we have him playing:
1) He'll play for about 20-30 minutes while guests arrive
2) Family and bridesmaids progression: Either Faithfully-Journey or Danny's Song-Kenny Loggins
3) My Entrance: She's got a way about her- Billy Joel
4) Recessional: Whole Lotta Love- Led Zepplin
We thought we wanted him to sing a song within the ceremony while we did the candle lighting ceremony, but now the candles are going to be so close to where we will be standing that I don't think it would take long enough to warrant a song. With that in mind, I would love for him to sing, as he has a great voice, but don't know if any of these spots would be appropriate, or if simply the guitar would be best. Are there other places I should be putting music, and do you think he can sing at any of these other points. He'd like to sing while I walk down the isle, but I don't know if that's weird. Thoughs???? Finally, he is also going to sing and play Crazy Love by Van Morrison for our first dance. Is it appropriate to have someone sing at that time? Thanks Ladies!!!
