For those of you that are doing regular music with lyrics (not instrumental, not the traditional stuff), what are you using?
Right now I’m thinking of these ones:
Processional (everyone): White Dress by Ben Rector
Register signing: ??? Help ???
Recessional: Love is Easy by McFly
I’d like to hear what everyone else is using!

@Pinkmoon: We did Beatles themed ceremony music. Best decision ever. All of it had the words except for one which was instrumental.

My processional will be an altered version of Today by Joshua Radin.
I say altered because we will have it sung/played live and lines will be cut to allow the processional to flow with the music. I will have a specific line to which each BM and I will begin walking (Imma bit OCD like that) I love the lyrics and lyrics hold all meaning to a song within them.
Its also altered because the version I have and fell in love with is nothing like the one I fould online (strange!)

@O.My.Heart: We’re planning on using a lot of Beatles music too though we might go instrumental versions by The Vitamin String Quartet. What songs did you use if you don’t mind sharing?

My processional doesn’t have lyrics, but my recessional does 🙂
We’ll be playing Train’s “Marry Me” as our recessional — it’s the song FI sang to propose to me!

Sorry got caught up in my love for that song, I forgot Im thinking of Come on get Higher by Matt Nathanson as the recessional/signing (they will merge together, also merging into other music as we have a meet & greet afterwards.)

@Pinkmoon: I’m either going to have a Beyonce song or a James Taylor song as my music. Not sure if it will be lyrical or not, but I’m not at all opposed to having the lyrics in it.

For the flower girl and bridesmaid entrances: All You Need Is Love by VSQ
Bridal entrance: Here There And Everywhere by The Beatles
During the Signing: Something by The Beatles
Big finale (the kiss!): All You Need Is Love, the Across The Universe version – we got the DJ to start it right where the song really picks up so all you hear is ”All you need is love, all you need is love, etc etc” until the end of the song. It was perfect for cheering and clapping 🙂
Later on, for our introduction, we used: Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles.
The DJ actually played Beatles music leading up to the ceremony. We didn’t tell him to, but it worked out perfectly for setting the tone 🙂

The Beatles definitely seems to be a popular choice!

I think my wedding party will walk down to Ho Hey by The Lumineers, I will walk to A Thousand Years by Christina Perri.. We still need a song for when we hammer our “first fight box” and then the recessional song is My Dear by Bethel Music ft Hunter Thompson.

I prefer for ceremony music to not have lyrics but I don’t think it’s a bad thing when it does.

I haven;t figured out ALL ceremony music BUT…..I KNOW I want….Somwhere over the rainbow by Israel “IZ” Kamakawiwoʻole’ – big fan of Wizard of Oz and perfect for beach wedding and most likely Jason Mraz I’m Yours.
