Okay we are doing a VERY SMALL private ceremony. 10 guests. I am not doing a lot of the usual wedding stuff…..no dancing, no bouquet toss, no garter toss.
Bridal party is very small. A best man, maid of honor, and one bridesmaid. My father will be escorting me, his mother escorting him. So that leaves 5 guests, his two sons and their wives, and my adult son.
I really like the idea of wedding progams, but are they necessary since my wedding will be so small?? Who all gets them….just the guests (non-bridal party)? Would it be weird to have them anyways?? I would just like the guests to know the music selections, and a brief thanks for them for coming (we are having a DW).
What do you bee’s think??

I wouldn’t spend a ton of money on them, but you can DIY a few for pretty cheap. I assume everyone pretty much knows everyone, so just a nice little one page program with the order of the ceremony + music selections and a note of thanks should be fine if that’s what you want to do!

I think, if YOU want them, have them. You can always buy some pretty paper from a craft store, design a simple program in a word processing program, and print them yourself.

Since you are foregoing some things, do them! No one is going to question why you did them with such a small wedding and from my exper people enjoy them 🙂

I think that if you want them you might as well, it’d be nice to have the thank-you like you said especially since they are travelling. And since there’s only 10, the cost should be minimal.

I have always thought they were a waste. whenever I’ve received them at weddings, I alwas tend up tossing it or forgetting it somewhere. :/
