Edit: meant to post this in Ceremony..sorry!
I’m in love with a wedding venue that’s 50 minutes away from my house. There is a reception place kind of by it…the ceremony and reception locations will be 10 minutes apart from each other. And the wedding will be on a Sunday.
I know it’s usually not a big deal for ceremony and receptions to be in two seperate places…but would it seem like a big hassel since my guests already have to drive an hour to even get over there? They will have to drive for an hour, attend a 20 minute ceremony, then get back in their car and drive 10 min to the reception. On a Sunday!
Will this be okay or is it a pain in the ass?

Maybe hire a bus for your guests? Just have a meeting point…If budget permits

This is the norm where I am from and it’s never been a hassel to me! Plus the time it takes for guests to get one from place to another is a good time for you two to get some photos done on your own before everyone else arrives!
And a 10 min drive is nothing!! 🙂

I think they should just suck it up… not unreasonable at all… but please make sure there is enough car parking and tell them in advance about the route and where they can park, offering a few different areas to park if appropriate. It’s the parking which takes the time… not the driving!
