@leahlou:  Can you just move up the time, or schedule it for the day before?

@leahlou:  Did you discuss any alternatives with the pastor? Can he do the rehearsal at another time? or have someone stand in for him at the rehearsal?

It really doesn’t matter if some of the wedding party can’t attend, although it may be disappointing. The roles are pretty simple. One of the other groomsmen can fill them in.

At our rehearsal, our pastor didn’t do much. The DOC was running the show and our pastor just followed directions like everyone else. If he’s done weddings before, I’m sure he’ll be fine without the rehearsal and your DOC can give him a short run down of how he’s walking in/out either before the wedding day in a phone call or email or the day of.

The pastor wasn’t at the rehearsal for my first wedding.  He still figured out how to get up front and perform the ceremony.  Don’t stress it!

My pastor willnot be at our rehersal Friday and niether will one of the groomsman.  The Pastor told us she is leaving detailed instructions for the corrdinator to run the rehersaland the missing groomsman will have to fall in line the day of.  I was surprised I didnt freak out when I found out the rehersal would be missed by the pastor and a groomsman but cant change it.

Just relax, deep breathes everything will work out great.  The groomsman that are missing can follow the others and Im sure the pastor has done a ceremony or 2 before 🙂
