There is a book you can buy on Amazon (or probably borrow from your library) called  Wedding Ceremony Planner. It may be helpful to you in thinking about the structure and content of your ceremony.

I would take those scripts you have found and break it down into componants.  Most normally have a few parts;

Welcoming- officient welcoming your guests

Readings- optional, but a lot of people still like to include experts from favorite books

Reflection by officient on marriage

Wedding vows

Joining cermony of choice- Rose cermony, sand cermony, unity candles, handfasting, first drink (endless possiblities)

Final “blessing” or thank you- more words by officent, final send off

Announcement of the couple and ending

Hope I’m not too late, but a wedding officiant in Austin sent me some sample ceremonies (non-traditional).  They are PDFs, so if you will message me with your email I will be happy to share them with you.  I found some really good stuff in there.  Was actually getting teary-eyed reading through some of them.  lol

@shesheb – Would you mind sending the PDF’s to me if I PM you? I too am in the beginning stages of writing a ceremony and I’m not sure where to begin!!
