@christine9104:I’m an east-side gal so I’m not really familiar with your area specifically, but what about Tom’s Country Place?  It’s in Avon (don’t know how far that is from your reception site) the premises look pretty nice.  I don’t know how expensive they are, but I would imagine they probably are pretty reasonable.

Also, there’s a place in Lorain called Deluca’s place in the park that has a HUGE gazebo/pavilion and some nice grounds (at least from the pictures).  Again, I don’t know pricing or distance from your reception location.

Finally, I know this is probably WAY too far away, but there is Holden Arboretum (I think it’s in Kirtland on the east-side).  I looked at them but the space was a little too small for my wedding.  Depending on the size of your wedding and the space you would like to rent, their fees range from $400-600 for a ceremony-only option.  (this is the lowest price I have found so far for “ceremony-only” rental)

I too am looking for a non-religious outdoor space closer to the east-side, so I know your pain 🙂  There just aren’t that many options for us Clevelanders that aren’t ridiculously priced.  Hope you find what you are looking for!

I think I remember hearing that the Cuyahoga Valley National Park has some pretty spots where they allow wedding ceremonies.  I don’t think that should be too far from where you are.

We are having our wedding at the Western Reserve historical society’s hanna garden. It’s beautiful! They have an indoor gallery we can use if it rains.

christine9104:  Hi! What did you end up doing?? I am in the exact same boat now! We are having the reception in Strongsville, and want an outdoor ceremony (considering Coe Lake) but have no back up option for rain. I have done a ton of research with the main option just being Grand Pacific Chapel which is about $1K so if I book there we are stuck indoors and can’t do the ceremony at 2:30PM as we would like…HELP!

DanielleP1414:  have you looked at The Columbia Ballroom in Columbia Station? My husband and I had our reception there but they do indoor and outdoor ceremonies onsite. Check out their Facebook page! Also, Manakiki in the Willoughby area does ceremonies outside in a shaded woody area and has a beautiful big old house for the Reception. My friend also found another option recently in Chagrin Falls I think but I’m blanking on the name…

shaina0707:  one note – since you already have the reception booked elsewhere in not 100 percent sure The Columbia Ballroom could do ceremony alone. grand Pacific Junction is super cute, though!
