There is a flower shop in the Meat Packing district called Banchet Flowers that holds ceremonies.  They specialize in orchids, and anything that is in the shop that day you use as decoration.  Their site fee is kind of steep though – I think $2500.  Here is the website: http://banchetflowers.com/  Good Luck!

I got married at Banchet Flowers!

It’s not very big though. We had about 70 guests and the place felt packed. The aisle was so narrow that 2 people couldn’t really walk down next to each other.

But it’s beautiful and we loved having our ceremony there. We had a Jewish ceremony and they made a nice chuppah for us.

West – do you mind if I ask where you had your reception?  We are having our ceremony at Banchet and the reception around the corner at the Upper Crust.  I have had trouble finding anyone who has gotten married there!

West – yay!  So glad to hear from someone who got married there! Did you have a sit down dinner or a buffet?  And overall, how did everything turn out???  If it is easier my email is carrieaj at gmail dot com.  Thanks

hello, i just went to banchet flowers this weekend and they said the site fee is $8500 plus tax. is that right or did they just give me an inflated price? i love the space and would be wiling to skimp on lots of other things but $8500 is just too much for me. would love to hear from others that had or are planning to have their wedding there…

@snacky:

did you ever get a REAL price for the ceremonyat Banchet Flowers? $8500 sounded ridiculous. I was looking for a small space downtown to hold my ceremony, it shouldn’t be more than an hour and will take place on a Friday.
