The banquet chairs look nice. I would normally say cover them or rent other chairs, but I think these chairs would work with lots of color schemes and look good in pictures. What kind of chair covers do they have?

If you don’t like the banquet chairs or the covers, and the look of the chairs is really important to you, I think it would be worth it to rent the Chiavari chairs. In my opinion, chairs are an important part of the decor since there are so many of them. They’ll be in nearly every reception photo, after all. It’s worth it to get ones you like if there’s enough money to do it. Lots of people say, “Nobody will care what the chairs look like”, but not everything is for the benefit of the guests. They’ll sit in the chairs for a few hours, but you’ll have pictures and video of them for years.

Oh, to chiavari or not chiavari…

I say leave them without the chair covers. They’re really not terrible and you’d save a decent amount of money. None of your guests will notice.

I think the chairs are fine as is. They are a neutral color which goes well with the walls. They are only visible for a few minutes before your guests put their behinds, sweaters, jackets, coats etc on the chairs.

Chair covers give you a sea of white that detracts from all your other decor and chiviari chairs are a waste of money, in my opinion. They aren’t even comfortable.

Those banquet chairs are beautiful! They may be the nicest banquet chairs I’ve ever seen posted on WB! In fact, I actually like them BETTER in that room than I like the venue’s chiviari chairs.

In your situation, I would not waste the money.

Those chairs are actually reallllllllly nice. I wish we had those. Ours were puke green floral stained taller banquet chairs that were screaming to be covered. Chiavari chairs here are $8-$9 ea and I just did not have the money for that.

Those are nice. Stick with them.

I wouldn’t waste the money. We had chair covers, which I totally dislike, but I hadn’t even thought about the chairs again until I read your post. On the day of, I thought nothing about them and was happy with how our room looked. I think they also look totally fine un-covered.

I dislike both chair covers (for the looks) and chiavari (because they’re uncomfortable). So I’d definitely just leave them and save the money.

I’m going to be the minitory here but I say get the chiavari chairs.  Chairs completely change the look of the room & those banquet chairs aren’t doing it for me.

rodri:  I have the exact dilemma as you. My fiance thinks the chiavari chairs are a waste of money. To me, the banquet chairs are ugly and chair covers are even uglier. Even though guest won’t notice, those who have been married will. And most importantly, I, as the bride, will remember this forever. Go ahead, get the chiavari chairs. I certainly will.

rodri:  The banquet chairs match perfectly with the color/decor of the room. And they’re a heck of a lot more comfortable than chiavari. I sat on one for a 2-hour, wrap-up meeting, at my daughter’s venue and they were like torture. My husband changed chairs after a half hour.

rodri:  Sorry I’m in the minority! I think it really depends on what look you are going for. I personally, hate the banquest chair and loathe chair covers. If it’s not breaking the bank I would say go for the chiavari with seat cushions, if budget is an issue then definitely leave it as is

I think the banquet chairs look much better in that room than the chiavari chairs!
