that is amazing! Great find! I love the idea of using it for table assignments. I think you could even put the menu on as well.... maybe closer to the bottom.. so that the table assignments are closer to the top (then people don't have to bend down as much to read the names).
Do you think it would be too cluttered with two different purposes? I also picture a sweet picture of mountains as a top border... but maybe I'm getting too ambitious!
awesome! i love the idea of the table assignments on there. i think it would be too cluttered to put the menu on there too though... may not be easy to read and serve too many purposes.
whatever you choose it will look great though!
ooooh I'm picture the mountains too! I would use it as a seating chart/table chart. How many guests are you having?
We're having roughly 150 guests (I think). If I used it as a seating chart I would envision
Table Name
First last (escort card taped next to name)
First last (escort card taped)
etc for 8 people at each table
Seems like that would take up a fair amount of room, wouldn't it?
Works for me! I would try to do the names alphabetically for each table so people are staring at the board looking for their names.
With 150 guests I agree with the alphabetizing...love the idea with the mountains!! Would be really pretty.

I just scored a yard sale 6 ft by 3.5 ft chalk board. Originally I thought of using it for a menu board, but it's a pretty huge chalkboard. (We just washed it when we took this picture, so it's not all splotchy like shown here).
Now I'm thinking of using it to show people what table they'll be sitting at. Is it big enough that I could do both? Do you have any other ideas of how to best use it? Do you know how much it costs to get those chalkboard artists to write on it?
Thanks for creative suggestions in advance!
(Excuse the stray snowboard binding in the foreground. GI Joe's was going out of business and I also scored a pair of Burton Freestyles for $16! It was a good weekend!)
