I think how they are set up is cute, but I guess it depends on what centerpieces you will be using.
They will probably not just stand up. Maybe you could make your own in picture frames, which already have the back that will allow them to stand up? Or you could fashion something simiiar for your chalkboards.
Just be careful some bratty kids don't wipe the boards clean!
Your guests should be able to see them so long as they are propped up and not too far under/in between whatever centerpiece you are having. You could put them on a stick, but 5x7 seems a little large for doing that.
Those are cute! I think picture frames are a good idea so they could stand up. You could also probably seal them with something after you make them so that no one could erase them. :)

They are so cute, but would guests be able to see them? The large ones are 5" x 7". Do I need to construct some kind of stick to put them on, or will they be visible just propped up as shown?
