i like lychee juice / puree with cocktail (juice works better b/c it's stronger). it's pretty light.
there's also elderflower liquer with it
I LOVE champassions. Champagne, passion fruit juice and raspberries for garnish. I've made them at the last few wedding showers I threw and they were always a big hit! Or you could always do champagne and chambord. It's good too!
did you also see this link:

nybride: I hadn't seen that link. I did a search but must have missed it. Thanks for that.
Anyone have any ideas for Aussie themed name?
There's a champagne cocktail you can make with limoncello. I've made one and it's GOOD!

nom nom nom bellini.
Also if you would like a semi-white trash champagne punch recipe that is DELICIOUS here is mine. I make it for all kinds of parties and everyone loves it!
1 or 2 quarts Strawberry Sherbert (I use Blue Bell)
1 and 1/2 bottles of champagne
1 two liter of Sprite
Lime to garnish
Its really fizzy and citrusy and cold. It gives you a little bit of a buzz too! Its excellent, but not that sophisticated, lol
bellini says bellini! lol
i had one this weekend at the W hotel in DC...it was prosecco, raspberry and elderflower liquor...it was SO good...and a light pink color :)
in terms of names, are you the aussie or is he? how about a fizzy shirley?
I posted on this a while back and got lots of great suggestions, you can see the thread here.

Thanks everyone it looks like the Bellini is going to be the winner. It's a regular on aussie cocktail lists so it fits in best as well.
The aussie is my male fiance, I am the cape codder :)
hmm waltzing matilda would be perfect if it was a little bit more masculine! a waltzing man-tilda maybe? :)
they call women shirleys.. what do they call guys? he should know. have it be a waltzing "whatever"
Bruce. but it's not really that common, kinda a country thing, I feel like everyone would be going "who's Bruce?"

I'm in search of a Champage cocktail for my wedding. I'd prefer it to not be heavy, am trying to steer clear of recipes that include brandy. I am already serving Mai Tais and Cape Codders so preferably something non-orangey and non-cranberryish. So let me know your favorites please!
Bonus points if you can think of a cute Australian inspired name for it.
Ideally I'd like to have the three drinks named so I can say A Cape Codder and A ___________ Tai'd the Knot!
