One of my friends did a similar idea. She used the flowers like you did, but she filled the glass up with water so it was covering the roses, and she used floating candles. It turned out really nice.

I got a little freaked when my mom told me that she bought large champagne glasses to use as centerpieces for our engagement party...
But, luckily I had the idea to float roses in them and thought they turned out pretty well!
So I decided to share this budget centerpiece idea with the bees.
The glasses were a few dollars a piece. I bought a dozen roses from the supermarket, removed the stems and groomed the roses by removing the outer petals. Then folded the tighter inner petals down to make them look full and perfect. Each glass has 6 roses.
Hope this inspires some of you bees.
