(Closed) Champagne suggestions?

Ooh!  If you’re OK with non-French champagne, and just want a nice sparkling wine, I’d suggest either a Cava from Spain, or a Prosecco from Italy.  Both are less expensive than “real” champagne and tend to be quite good.  Our wedding sparkling wine was Segura Viudas Brut Reserva Cava — rated 92 points by Wine and Spirits, and we got it for $6 a bottle!

Cava is more like traditional French champagne, with some heft and presence, while Prosecco is lighter and more likely to appeal to people who don’t usually like the taste of champagne.

we’re using lanson black label. it’s about $30/bottle at our local liquor store. it’s actual champagne (ie france, from the champagne region) if that’s important to you. other sparkling wines are cheaper tho
