    Hi ladies!

    I know I haven't posted much, but I check these forums every day :D Everyone here is so helpful!! Anyhow, I'm going dress shopping tomorrow. (Woohoo!!). I have been once before, and it was a good start to understand what I think I like, so tomorrow should be more streamlined. We're going to 2 different salons, and I was wondering something. Is it acceptable to bring champagne with us? I mean, I know they do this sort of thing in the movies, but is it something that you guys would advise against? I always thought it would be kinda fun, but I wanted to see what everyone thinks before I go buying any.

    Thanks!! :)

    Many of the stores I visited didn't allow food or drinks other than water. When my aunt came in with a coffee they about tackled her.

    I would highly recommend calling them first and asking, that is the best way to be sure.

    You should call the salons and ask if they will allow it.  Technically, in most areas it is against the law as they don't have liquor licenses, so they may not.  Also, I don't know that the salons want a drink that stains around all those white dresses.

    That sounds like such a bad idea hahaha. I would go out and celebrate post-dress shopping :)

    Thanks! Yeah... I figured it's probably not allowed, but I wanted to get people's opinions. The first place I went to last time didn't seem to mind when people brought drinks in, but then I know DB doesn't let you bring anything at all.

    I know it sounds like a silly idea... :/

    I always wanted to have that experience, drinking champagne in a store like you see on TV.  I doubt very many bridal salons will allow it though, for liability and legal reasons.  But I like the PPs suggestion of celebrating after.  =)

    I would skip it. Some will give you champagne if you order your dress there, but I would hate to make a mess with it or spill it on a dress.

    So, funnily enough, one of the places I went to encouraged it, if we wanted to, and had glasses available! It was good fun :)

    @StephieBee:

    Really? That is very cool!

    All the places I've been to make you wear white gloves so I hardly expected them to let people in with booze!
