I don't think it would look bad, especially if the suits are dark grey. But if you are concerned, couldn't your husband wear a deep red vest and tie? It'll still set him apart from the groomsmen and it will incorporate your 3rd wedding color. Maybe you can tie it into your ensemble by having your bouquet wrapped in dark red ribbon.
I think either gold or red will look ok, but if you're concerned, you can always ask the tux/suit store guys.

Ok, I'm having a bit of an issue. Our colors are dark red, navy, and light gold. My dress is ivory with light gold lace overlay and the bridesmaids are wearing navy. Because of this, I think it would look nice if the groomsmen wear dark grey suits with navy vests (I think black would clash?).
The only thing is that my groom would be wearing a dark grey suit with a light gold/champage vest/tie? Would that clash? I can't picture this together but I don't know what other color to put him in since my dress isn't white.
Bees, do you think this will look okay, or do you have any other ideas??
