i feel you, i am getting so sick of bargin shopping but I promise it's worth it. Ihave gotten everything free or at least 50% off. but there is SO much to do it myself:( sigh!
Oh my goodness - those shoes are amazing! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Maybe you can find a way to do some of this for cheaper? You could probably buy cheap shoes and jazz them up with sparkles/gems from a craft store!
I get what you mean, though. When it comes to planning a big party, having money helps a lot! *sympathy* Hopefully your creative vibe will help you so you don't have to sacrifice your vision.
Sounds like you've got a great family though, and that's worth its weight in gold!
I hear ya. And wowzers....that dress is fabulous!
Those invites are totally do-able! On Etsy you can purchase the template for just $20, then buy some nice cardstock and print them off yourself at home!
^ was going to say what Courney1188 said. The Invites are totally do able! I did DIY invites.. I had Kinkos (fed ex mail center) print and cut them and same for my RSVP cards (total was $55.00 for 100 invites). Envelopes came from Papersource.com
The cake.. I have an awesome person here (I'm in Southern California) that may mail you the cake lol But I know that may not be ideal. Tho I can give you her number or email address. (www.mjbcakes.com)
The Dress and shoes I can't help you with but holy cow those are amazing!
Thank you ladies for the encouragement and advice checking it all out now:))))
Check out brokeassbride.com--they have a section called Can't Afford It? Get Over It where they take requests from brides for something that is ridic expensive (usually dresses) and will post similar alternatives that are more budget friendly.
The site has TONS of ideas to keep costs down, great advice for the day of (like aim to be ready an hour before the ceremony so you're not late or rushed) and TONS of encouragement. They revel in their brokeassedness and glory in every cost saving tip.
Also check out offbeatbrides.com--they have preferred vendors who give discounts if you mention their site as well as tons of offbeat ideas, cost saving tips and DIY stuff that's not Martha Stewart or French garden party.

Okay, its time to face facts. I am 27. I am a mother of three. My job pays the bills, keeps a roof over our heads and puts food on the table but not much more. My fiance is in the same boat. Don't get me wrong, I happen to think of that as a measure of success. We may not be living high on the hog but we have each other and we all know we are loved. Money isn't everything. But it HELPS! Yes, I am having a pity party, but hey, I have hope too!!! I like to think of myself as a creative person. As in when I get in a tight spot I can think of a way to get out of it kind of thing lol;) So I am desperately trying to figure out how to have my dream wedding on said income:/ Here are a few of the expensive things Ive fallen head over Converse in love with...
