I am. I already booked my venue months ago and found another one yesterday that I love from the outside. I made an appointment to see it on Friday:-)
Why do you want to change the location?
We're almost date twins...my date is 10/7/12. The Monday after is a holiday and I check with my family and most OOT guest and the Sunday works better for us!!
@mrsjjohnson2b: We're planning an outdoor wedding right now and I'm having a hard time with the idea of getting a Porta-Potty for the guests....I'm worried that it's going to be disgusting and ruin the whole feel of the wedding. I also thought we were saving money by doing it outdoors, but after we rent everything we need, I don't think it's that much of a savings and it's going to be a lot more work. Plus, I'm worried about where we will have the ceremony if it rains.
@speechgal44: Totally important things to consider! I'd love to have a backyard ceremony but I'm also wondering about the cost - at first it sounds like it could be a way to save money, but renting a tent and tables, chairs, dishes etc. can all add up!
Good luck in your quest for a new venue/with whatever you decide!
Seems like you certainly have enough time to make a change if you want to! You should at least talk to your fiance about it, he may be thinking the same thing secretly!
@speechgal44: I totally understand and I think the lady whose house you were gonna use will understand too. When you factor in all that you have to rent plus delivery and set up it does come to alot of money. I am making sure I have stuff in place if it "R", I refuse to say it. I just say the "R" word.
I hope everything works out. You're the BRIDE and you can change your mind about what you want whenever you want, you have that right. Tell them I said so
UPDATE: We have officially decided to change the venue. The groom was not real happy about it at first, but he sees now that it's the right thing to do. We have several close family members who have physical limitations and the outdoor wedding would have been difficult for them on a NICE day and a nightmare for them on a rainy day. I'm hoping to sit down this weekend with the friend who was going to host it and tell her in person. I know she'll be upset, I'm just hoping I don't lose a friendship over it. :(

Hi all....I was all set to have my wedding in a tent in a friend's backyard. However, over the past several days I've had a change of heart and really want to go back to my original plan of having it at a local hotel (if that's available). I know my fiance is going to kill me and the woman who'se house we were having it at is going to be devastated, but I just feel it's the right thing to do. Has anyone else ever changed their mind about the venue in mid-planning?
