missjz:  That’s sounds so romantic and the ace hotel is amazing! What do you imagine the spiritual/ring part being like? Also- be sure to book your dinner very far in advance for NYE! so many amazing options.

missjz:  Congratulations! It sounds so romantic and blissful! My brother and his now wife wanted a friend to perform their ceremony, but the friend was not a registered marriage officiant; so they went to the home affairs office the week before the wedding and signed the marriage certificate but they postdated it for the day of the wedding ceremony. Maybe you could do that too, I am not sure how this works in Canada, but you could still have the civil ceremony for family just postdate the marriage certificate to the actual date, New Year ’s Eve.

Be blessed!

missjz:  You’re welcome. Just give home affairs a call or go in and see them, hopefully it works!

Good Luck

Congratulations! I’m kind of jealous. My beau and I had decided to elope and are actually going to New York for my birthday in late November. Cannot convince him to do it then, even though I thought that’d be my dream place to elope. I guess he still wants to go ahead with the proposal and do it all on his own terms.

Make sure you post pictures when all is said and done and congrats once again 🙂
