Okay, so my SO doesn’t have a ring. :/He said he’s had his eye on a specific ring and said he needs More money. He starts a new job soon and is also considering getting a second job as well. He said he needs to pay some people back for money and wants to get all that done. He also said he wants to get me a ring that reflects us and our love and our relationship. So we’re possibly looking at a January proposal I hope. But the disappointing factor is, if he has two jobs, I’m not going to get to spend any holidays with him unless by some miracle they let him off a day or two. :/ I know he’s doing this for us but I miss him so badly and need to be with him but he’s four hours away. 🙁

Sorry you’re still in the waiting camp! But it will probably happy in or by January! That is SO SOON! Just a little longer to wait!

Is he working two jobs just so he can afford a ring? Or is it because he needs the money for bills? If you are wanting to spend more time with him and he is working a second job just to save up for a ring then maybe suggest him only work one job. Then you can see him more, you might have to wait a little long for a ring, but you get to spend time with your love 🙂

Your SO sounds like a great guy and such a hard worker. I really hope you can spend time with him this holiday season, but if not, luckily there will be many more to come. You could even celebrate together when you can. Best wishes.

@katiecat08: TIME together is very important to me, more important than needeing a ring.
I wonder if he’s telling you this to get your opinion….like asking what’s more important to you? Time or an E-ring?

No, hes very determined to get a ring. He said he feels like a ring reflects his love for me and our relationship. I’m proud of him though, he started his new job today and he might be able to get off at least 2 days during December to come see me. I’m hopeful.:) I’m just praying and praying because this year has been one whirlwind of a year and I hope things will be looking up for us in the future.
