This is just a little wondering type thing.
I went to a wedding where everyone dressed way too casual and then a lot of people changed from their casual to shorts and t-shirts. I even spotted holey, stained jeans and a tuxedo t-shirt.
I know it depends on the formality of the event, and this wedding’s overall formality level was up in the air. (It was kind of cheap, kind of bbq-y, kind of a mess anyway (not to be mean))
But still, this is the second time I’ve been to a wedding where people change to shorts and tanks for the reception!!
Is it okay to change for the reception as a guest, at all? And how would you, as the bride, react to this type of changing?
Is there even a way to stop it?

There’s not really a way to stop it, especially after the fact, but honestly it wouldn’t bother me that much– but we are doing a casual wedding anyway, so I guess for me it’s not a huge deal.

I have never seen or heard of this. I would NEVER change into shorts and a tee for a wedding reception, and I don’t think I know anyone who would. Not sure you can stop it, though, and the chances of it happening really depends on your crowd.

Everyone changed at my cousin’s wedding several years ago. It was outside in the August heat. We were encouraged by the bride and groom to change into something we felt comfortable in.
