Sorry, there are no users yet.
Okay, I'm having trouble figuring out what paperwork I need to fill out to change my name on my car title and registration. I've been scouring the DMV site, and I swear I found them before. I think I have the title form (http://www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/pdf/vsa66.pdf), but I can't for the life of me find the form for the registration.
And the site has me believing that I can just take my VA license, marriage license and my new social security card, and they'll change my name on my license. Is that true? Or is there a form for that too?
Any help is much, much appreciated!
Going to the social security office was a breeze and I did that as soon as we got back from our honeymoon, but I fear the DMV. The last time I went (when I moved here), they threatened to start an investigation into the ownership of my car (I had co-owned it with my dad for 8 years prior to moving. He signed the title over to me, but apparently missed one signature... and this mattered even though I was on the damn thing as owner! Sorry, I'm still haunted by the experience.)
