So I have become addicted to pinterest over the past week and the more that I look at everyone’s boards, the more I want a more “vintage” or softer feel to my wedding but still using the tropical elements as well.
My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are bright teal and very simple and I feel as though my dress could pass for some fun vintage flair as well.
I had originally wanted tall glass vases with a mixture of bright, tropical flowers and then have blue tealights holding candles.
Our recpetion is in the lobby of a local art museum and it’s darker so I wanted to use teal and white chinese lanterns to brighten it up.
But now, I have found that I loooove mason jars. I could paint them teal and light coral and white and stick tufts of flowers into them. I would have maybe 3 per table with tealights all around.
Here is what I am thinking:
And here is my dress and Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses
So what do you bees think? I could even just put the tropical flowers in the mason jars which wouldn’t cost us any more money (put a deposit down on the flowers) and that would really incorporate the tropical elements into the vintage feel. Also a good thing, my caterer, also my florist, ordered fake flowers because the price of real flwoers for 35 tables was insane so it’d be easy to work that out.
I’m just worried my family is going to KILL me. I have changed my mind SO many times it’s sad. But I’m really loving this look!
