Hi ladies! I am so excited that I came across this board! So helpful 🙂
Now the time has come for me to write my first post. .. I just purchased my wedding dress (yay!) After having tried on well over the amount of dresses any bride should try on (around 50).
I have a vision of a dress, but of course, my vision did not exist on the racks of any of the 13 bridal stores I went to. I knew I needed alterations and am prepared to pay for them, which was exactly my mentality when stepping into the last bridal store. The consultant was by far, the most patient, understanding and open to my “vision” than any of the other consultants. Which leads me to my point…she showed me my BLANK canvas! A perfect $500 sweetheart neckline, mermaid fit gown. A gown without any beading (except for a belt we added when trying it on).
She guaranteed me that all of the changes i wanted; a low back, buttons, the bottom taken in to fit properly and the addition of an organza/rosette skirt could be done…so I bought it! Well….now I am beginning to have my doubts and need reassuring.
I have done some searching on google to see if indeed a full organza/rosette skirt can be added onto a already made dress & have encountered some vauge results.
Have any of you wonderful ladies had this done? And if so, are the results successful/gorgeous?
Any reassurance would help 🙂 thank you in advance.
This is a pic of the dress I bought. Front and back. Still not altered
Here is an example of the skirt options I was aiming for…
