Was the original venue in NY and now it’s in SoCal?

 

I cancelled my venue with 120 days to go.  120 days was the magic deadline for us to get a 100% refund, so thankfully we got our deposit back.

@Miss.GrahamCracker:  Thanks for the clarification, it’s Monday AM I’m still a little slow on reading comprehension!

 

If $1000 is not a huge deal, plus the extra costs that maybe associated with your new venue, and that is all OK in the budget department, then you are golden!

 

Actually I have not rebooked a venue, but I posted since we did cancel a venue.  We cancelled the wedding entirely because my dad was given 4-6 months to live and the DW was to be in 5 months.  Actually my wedding was to be this coming Saturday (7/14).  My dad died last month. 

 

We’re now going to elope/have a private wedding where we won’t need a real venue this time, so I cannot relate to the rescheduling part.
