I think its totally doable. You can easily change your linens. Are the girls dresses bought already? You've still got 7 months until your wedding.
@PuntaCanaBride: The dresses have not been purchased yet, Thank Goodness!
If you want to change it, change it. You don't want to regret your decision later. I had a black and white damask with fuschia wedding, so of course, I like your original option. I, do, however, really like the added grey in the mix. Good luck!
I like both color schemes, but the grey tones it down a bit, which makes me like it a bit more. I think you can totally change your colors!
I really like the change to gray it feels softer. I have seen many weddings with black bridesmaid dresses and they work it. I thought it was too bold or harsh a color maybe. I'm not sure how to explain it I just new it wasn't what I wanted lol I see no issue changing if no dresses have been ordered.
Thank y'all.
@TheLionQueen: "grey tones it down a bit" I think that is what I like about it.
@fozzyb79: I like the way you worded it, also: "the change to gray it feels softer
where are you looking for gray linens.... we have had the hardest time finding them!
Good luck either way!
I love the gray! It's really no big deal to change your colors halfway through, either! David's Bridal discontinued the color of my bridesmaids dresses after I sent out the save the dates in that color...haha. Just change it to whatever you would like, it will work out fine. :-)
I agree that I like your new color scheme much better!
Since we are date twins, AND color twins, I thought I'd give my opinion - I am doing gray and pink for my colors, with pale pink/ivory/peach flowers. I LOVE the addition of the damask though, it really makes it pop. :)
Also, my girls are wearing Bill Levkoff dresses in Pewter - it's a great color, not too dark, but not too light that it will wash anyone out in photos.
Thank You for your input!! :)
@MySunshine: We are getting linens from a company called Elegant Beginnings, Inc. they are in Houston & they come with the reception venue.
@Gibbs428: Yay! Date AND Color Twins! :) and yes, I love the pewter color and definitely think my bridesmaids' dresses will be pewter! Which style are you using? Or will they all be different?
@soontobeMrsEschberger: They are all wearing style #568. My only requiremet was that they wear a chiffon dress (because I loved how light and flowy it would be, perfect for spring!) and they tried on a bunch of dresses and everyone agreed that #568 was the one! :)
I voted on Yes, but I think my answer is actually: "Giiiirl, do whatever you want! If you want to change your colours, you change your colours. It's your wedding, so you define your own rules!"
Spoken by a person that has changed her colour theme 3x now :)
Using gray instead of black will allow you to use the black and white damask print without it being overwhelming. Gray helps to smooth everything out. I think it will be lovely.
I like the gray with the pink a lot for the spring wedding. It definately helps make it more upbeat and not so dark.

We got engaged December 2010 & our wedding is April 2012.
Not too long after we got engaged I have come up with what I thought was the "Perfect" color scheme: Black & White 'Traditions' Damask with hints of Pink (all pink flowers).
However... there are certain parts of this color scheme that I do not like so much any more.
The main thing I'd like to change is the bridesmaid's dresses. (The color, not the style.) I also think I want to "brighten" it up a little, maybe changing the color of linens at the reception?
This is what I am leaning towards: Gray & Pink with hints of Damask.
One of the reasons I want to change the BM dress color is because I am not too fond of sticking out in wedding pics like 'a sore thumb' (not in the bad way, but just in a way that is like BAM(!) there's the bride!) haha, And yes, I know that it will be kind of hard to blend in when wearing a rather large dress with a cathedral length train, but still I think standing in a white(ivory) dress surrounded by people wearing black would make me feel like the odd duck out. (..I'm just weird like that).
So that is why I like the gray/silver BM dresses better.
Also, using the gray or silver-ish linens would help 'brighten' the reception a little more for a Spring wedding.
But with all that said, I still am fond of the Damask pattern.
My Question: What do you think of changing my colors from Black & White Damask with Pink to Gray & Pink with Damask? Is it 'do-able' without being a complete 180?
