I’m somewhat disappointed but we might have to change our wedding date. We initially wanted to do it on June 8 2013, which would be our 10 year anniversary (and just so happens to fall on a Saturday – perfect, right?). Now we’re looking at August 2013 instead to be able to save up some more and get everything we wanted. I know it’s just 2 months, but it will add 5-10k to our budget.
We’re making the right decision right? My mom told me that odds are, people wouldn’t even realize it was our annoversary anyway…
Sorry for the somewhat pointless post, I just had to vent a little.

Yes, move the date to August. Just think… if you have a dating anniversary in June and a wedding anniversary in August, you get two anniversaries back to back! Double the celebrating and double the gifts!

We orginially wanted to get married this May, but we had to move our date back to this coming August. No biggie, it happens- and honestly I’m thankful now that I have the rest of the summer to plan things and get everything ready!

You’re all right, I guess I was just a little upset because June 8th would have been so perfect… but at the end of the day, not many people care haha

I am having the same issue! Our original date is for June 1st 2013 but as the months go by it doesn’t look as if we will have our budget in place by then so now I am looking into 2014. It is disappointing but I want our wedding day to be as perfect as possible. I don’t know, still trying to work it out

I wish I could have the opportunity to change our wedding date but since we hired a wedding planner and have already been making payments with her, changing the wedding date would void our contract with her and all funds are non-refundable :(. So we have to move forward and go for broke… and we are completely broke! I would suggest postponing the wedding until you have enough money.
