i haven't tried it, but both dresses are gorgeous!!
i think both dresses would fit with the lace mantilla.. the first dress isn't modern to me, it's more vintage and lacey and the second says lacey vintage to me as well...
i am wearing a chapel-length mantilla veil with my dress (priscilla of boston vineyard piper). i dont have any pictures of the two together (i should have one by next week...my first fitting is this weekend!)
i dont necessarily think my dress is vintage or modern...i think of it as more classic and almost a blank canvas that i can dress up with my accessories!! :)
the first dress is Harlow. when i said vintage vs. modern, i was comparing the 2 and thought Harlow looked more vintage than Summer........ i guess i'll have to try a long mantilla veil with both dresses next time i go gown-shopping. i think i'm getting worn out from all those gown-shopping trips i've made recently.....
I love the Summer Royale, it looks gorgeous on you!!!
I think the mantilla veil could def work!
love the second dress!! very old hollywood glam with a modern twist, i think a mantilla could work well with that one or the second.
wow those two dresses are so pretty! i think the mantilla veil would look really nice on both!...
Summer Royale is SMOKIN! I think either would look great with the veil.
I have yet to see a dress that doesn't look good with a mantilla veil :) Of course I may be biased because I love them too.
On that note, anyone know a place in the LA area with a good selection of mantilla style veils with a reasonable price? Or anyone that can make one custom? Two salesgirls in two different stores told me flat out that "their veils are overpriced" and I'm better off going downtown, but I have no idea where to look.
wow that second dress looks amazing on you! I'm sure a mantilla veil would look beautiful with it!
Harlow would fit a lace mantilla a lot better IMHO. However, I like Summer Royale on you! A mantilla can fit both but I think an embroidered mantilla would fit Summer Royale much better than a lace one

i looooove chapel-length mantilla veils!
however, i am also in love with Maggie's Summer Royale, which i am afraid doesn't really fit the vintage look of a chapel-length mantilla veil.....
what do you guys think?
did anyone wear/tried on a more modern gown with a long mantilla veil? can you please post photos?
this wouldn't have been a problem had i stick to my original plan of having a hair up-do and wear a flower. however, my dear friend's wise words reminded me that my wedding day might be the only day in my life that i'll get to wear a veil when i can wear flowers everyday and any day. so, now i do want to wear a veil on my wedding day..
maggie's Harlow is my second favorite dress so far and it goes perfectly with a long mantilla veil, but i really do like Summer Royale way more than Harlow..
attached are pix of me wearing summer royale & harlow.
Please help! TIA!!!!!
