- Wedding: September 2012
I need to get suits soon and I already have the ties. My fiance will wear a cream tie to match the latte bodice of my dress, and the groomsmen in a turquoise solid. It is an evening labor day weekend wedding and cocktail attire. My colors are turquoise and gold, with ivory/cream/champagne accents. The girls are wearing turquoise silk strapless dresses — wedding in hawaii but overlooking the beach and not on the beach at all. It is a garden with a pathway, and only the chairs are on grass. The arch overlooks the sunset and beach. I like both navy and charcoal. Charcoal will make the turquoise pop more since most of my flowers are ivory. I was thinking of wraping either a gold or turquoise ribbon for the boutonnier with a white flower since my florist doesn’t color flowers. But I really love navy suits and their versatility, and I’ve seen pictures of them done well with a turquoise tie as well. Since I’m buying the suits, and my Fiance has a charcoal with light pinstripes already, I don’t want to get two that look too similar either. He doesn’t own navy, and this groomsmen own neither (both have black). I also like navy to make it a little more relaxed but i’m not sure about navy and turquoise in my palette. Should I just stick to charcoal? Or would navy look fine? All the guys are fair in complexion whereas all the girls including me are more olive and tan well and look great in turquoise. HELP!
