Charity gift-giving options?

@MrsEdamame:  Sometimes it has to be requested, but there are probably many charities out there that do it.  What type of charities/causes is the person interested in?

@MrsEdamame:  I was told I can’t link to a charity, but an example is the American Cancer Society.  Look under honor giving:

Once your gift is received, the American Cancer Society will promptly send a card to the honoree or family acknowledging your gift.

In Honour donations are a wonderful way to express your gratitude to a special person in your life. To acknowledge your donation, you can choose to send an e-card, or we will send a letter to the honouree. Please be sure to include the honouree’s name and address.

 

So many charities offer things like these, just try searching a disease-specific or local one and chances are they do something similar.
