I added charities to my universal registry on Amazon. If they "reserve" the donation on Amazon you will know who it came from, and it just has a link to the charity site.
We are trying to figure out the same thing! Rachelss, forgive the stupid question, but how do you know? Does Amazon send you a note?
We used idofoundation for ours, but no one ever donated anything.
I'd like to say my family is selfless...but sometimes I wonder...

My fiance and I plan to set up a charity registry for guests to donate to in lieu of gifts. I have looked at popular online sites for setting these up and tracking donations, but they all charge a fee and/or percentage of the donation to maintain the website. We would prefer for 100% of donations to go to the actual charities, but we're concerned if we provide links directly to the charities for people to donate, we won't be able to track who has donated and send proper thank you notes. Any ideas?
