My brother-in-law, http://www.markpotterphotography.com/. Im not only saying this because he is family but his pictures are sooo good. I'm having a hard tie finding a photographer because I'm comparing everyone to him! Check it out, he's starting his company and charges very reasonably- he has 7 weddings booked for this coming summer so look soon!
I personally like Pasha Belman. He is out of Myrtle Beach but travels to Charleston. He's more unique than the other photographers I've seen, especially with his use of color. I'm not into the cookie cutter photography.
I used Jennifer Bearden. I loved her pictures and she wasn't a zillion dollars which was super important. I've heard good things about CHI photography too. I believe when I checked with them on pricing they were even cheaper than Jennifer Bearden.
Define crazy expensive? We looked at a ton of photographers and really liked Richard Bell photography. For what you get (compared to other places) it was a pretty good deal.
We used Carmen Ash Photography. We loved her she was so great to work with.
