@wlphilli:  You’re probably talking about Folly Beach.  It’s the only beach with night life.  As far as downtown, upper King St. or Meeting street are where all of the restaurants/bars are.  Upper King definitely has more of a party feel, depending on the bar.

@wlphilli:  Not sure what bar you’re specifically talking about.  Maybe Trio?  I lived there a couple years ago, not sure if it’s still there.  Renting a beach house would be super fun but Folly is about 15 mins from downtown…  Taxis would be about $25-35 probably.

Mmmmm I don’t have a lot to offer because I usually go with my SO (so no wild strip clubs for me), but there’s a very cute wine bar that has awesome wine and cheese if you want to do wine tasting (On market street I think). We also LOVE Pearlz Oyster Bar. Great food and they have a fantastic, cheap happy hour!

@spezia:  Bin 152 and Social are both awesome wine bars!  Bin 152 is much more chill while Social can turn into a party later on.

@kb7:  I think it was Bin 152! The girl that worked there talked our ears off, but the wine, cheese and charcuterie were awesome!

@wlphilli:  Yep, that’s Folly!  It depends on when you’re there….  The off season Folly gets a bit dead.  But if it’s the heart of late spring/summer/fall then it’d be good.  Personally, if I were to go out partying I’d probably do Upper King.  But I’ve definitely had my share of awesome drunken nights on Folly too!

@spezia:  Yeah I love that place!  I used to work right around the corner so we’d go all the time.  Ahhhh I miss that city!!  I’m due for a visit.

@wlphilli:  Yeah Labor day will be great.  Hmm… there’s Ritas, Snapper Jack’s, another one I think that’s just called Surf Bar.

Bert’s market is open 24 hours!
