@ktmcgwvu08:  We are having a “rehearsal party” with everyone from out of town (about 100 people) at Goldbug Island. It’s close to Sullivan’s Island, pretty laid back with an oyster shack and indoor venue. You can bring all your own food and drinks. I think we’re going to do a lowcountry boil.

We are renting a beach house for my immediate family and FI’s family to stay at and we are going to host a “welcome reception/ rehearsal dinner” there the day before the wedding. We are going to get drop-off catering from Jim N Nick’s BBQ. Yum!

If you are looking for a restaurant, a friend of my had her rehearsal dinner at High Cotton downtown. I’m sure several of the BBQ places around town can accomodate you if you are looking for something a little more casual/ cheaper (Jim N Nick’s, Bessingers, etc.)

For downtown, I would also check out Magnolia’s, Sermet’s, and McGrady’s 🙂
